Christian Wolff appears to live as a quiet accountant in a small office, but behind neat spreadsheets, a strict routine, and an almost complete detachment from people hides a man with a dangerous second life. He audits the financial schemes of criminal organizations around the world, can find the slightest inconsistencies in numbers, and, when necessary, acts with the same precision with which he calculates. When Christian takes on the audit of a major technology company and, together with employee Dana Cummings, discovers traces of multimillion-dollar fraud, they become targets of those who do not want the truth revealed. At the same time, the Treasury Department is closing in on him, trying to understand who stands behind the mysterious “accountant” of the criminal world. Gavin O’Connor’s tense thriller combines crime intrigue, action, and the drama of a man for whom order in numbers becomes a way to survive amid chaos.
