Mr. Samuel Kemp requested help with the guitar break from this song that Dad and I sang and uploaded five years ago. Hard to believe it has been that long. When I go back and watch it now, I'm really pleased with the harmony and the overall sound, especially since we didn't really practice the song but just jumped right in and filmed it. I learned this song from my Great Uncle Henry Truett on my mom's side. He was sort of locally famous for singing the song as a solo at churches and other gatherings. I remember he sang it at least once on one of dad and Ray's radio broadcasts, and it seems like dad may have even sung a little harmony with him, though their voices were very different. Uncle Henry was also well known for telling jokes. Every time I ever saw him when I was a kid, he always told several funny jokes that I had never heard before. This tutorial will most likely be our last video of 2018. Within the next week or so, I hope to upload a solo song from dad that I found on an old reel to reel tape. Within the next month, I will also be sending a new recording that I recently did of one of his songs over to the CD Baby site for digital distribution. Once that process is finished and it's ready, I will be giving away some free downloads of the song, and I may also "release" the audio here on YouTube.
