• Faulty thermal connector.
• Loose connections or faulty connecting wires

Replace the faulty thermal connector
• Get the Rinnai tankless water heater’s manual and Technical Bulletin-107 Troubleshooting Code 14 and Codes57 on the KB series.
• Switch off the water heater.
• Flip switch 5 in SW2 to an off position to temporarily ignore the overheating signal.
• Unplug the white wire of the thermal heat connector.
• Connect a jumper wire between the white wire you have just disconnected and the second thermal heat connector that has a red and white wire.
• Turn on the heater.
• If it works properly, it means that the thermal heat connector was causing the error.
• Replace the faulty thermal connector.

Replace any faulty wires.
• Visually inspect any loose connections or broken wires.
• Tighten loose connections
• Replace broken wires.
