We finally made it to Vilcabamba to see what all of the fuss was about and we quickly fell under its spell! We did NOT hike, horseback ride, or DO much at all.

We followed the guidance of the mountains and laid in hammocks, marveled at the scenery, and enjoyed a variety of styles of yoga at Yoga Vilcabamba. Matt even tried aerial and was, of course, a natural!

Come along with us to Izhcayluma, a mountain resort with phenomenal views of Cerro Mandango, Vilcabamba, and the surrounding areas. We could have stayed a little longer and left wanting more.

We will be back and next time we'll hike Mandango!

Ecuador continues to amaze, it's unbelievable how much this small Andean country has to offer!

Oh yeah, the feminine counterpart to Cerro Mandango is Apu Guaranga:)
