Multilingual Design - A Flow.ai Intermediate Tutorial
Flow.ai provides advanced support for multi-language use cases.
Let’s say you have an English bot, but some of
your customers from Spain try to contact it in Spanish.
Your bot won’t understand it, because it is only available in the English language.
We can fix this by simply adding the Spanish language.
To do this go, to Project Settings and make sure that AI Model of your English language is on “Multi-lang”.
Next, press the add button and choose “Automatically Translate”.
Select the right language and region, press “Next” and then “Start Translation”.
You can see all flows are automatically translated.
Now let’s test if our bot understands Spanish messages.
Perfect!
Not only the flows are automatically translated, but the training examples of the intents as well.
Automatic translation saves a lot of time, but we want to make sure our translated content is perfect.
You can review all content that has been translated and resolve them by pressing the “Approve” button.
This will remove the indicator.
There is always the option to tweak or change any translated content without also changing the primary language.
Don’t forget to check if your intent training examples also translated correctly.
You can add as many languages and regions as you want.
Let’s add some more commonly used languages.
Easily switch between languages using the tabs in the top bar.
Want to adjust your flow after translating? No problem. Just change or add something to the flow in your primary language and press the “Sync Changes” button.
This will automatically add and translate any newly created or updated flows
You can do this one language at a time and review any changes that were made.
