Is Jesus real or a myth? The first in a series that explores the highly avoided subject.

What is myths meaning? Or the meaning of legends?

Many ponder what it means to be a Savior to all humanity. Many accept and many reject a man named Jesus as that Savior, the Redeemer, and the Only Begotten Son of God the Father. Many proclaim him as the King of Kings, Alpha and Omega, Lord of Lords, and the very reason we have Christmas. They know His teachings. They know his journeys, they know his life. To them, Christ is not just a man or a teacher, He is the Son of God who came to Earth to share God’s teaching and perform miracles. He is the Messiah sent to save all His people from sin and death.

These people will propose that Jesus was one of three "L"s.
Liar, lunatic, or Lord.

But, lately, a question is being asked, and its voice is growing louder.
Perhaps there is another "L". Legend.
Is this Jesus Christ a real person? Or, is that man a myth?
Is there extra-biblical evidence for Jesus Christ?
Is the New Testament a credible historical account?
If so, then why does it raises more questions than it answers? Was Jesus born in Bethlehem or Nazareth? Was the stone rolled away before or after Marry arrived? Is it possible for one’s mother to not recognize her own son as depicted in the following passages?

"12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. 14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

Tradition holds to the idea that after the death of Jesus, his followers split into two factions. Two factions that held radically different views about their leader, his identity, his message, and his vision of the future. One of those factions grew under the guidance of a man named Paul who wrote letters to the local churches that he once persecuted. His letters would eventually be included in the Holy Bible along with the Gospels of the New Testament. The other faction withered and died away under the orders of the church, leaving behind no written records other than an occasional sprinkling of contradictory history within the Gospels accounts.

How could it be possible for such a document to exist if its subject character did not exist?

And, what of the extra-biblical historical evidence for Christianity such as the infamous quote of Josephus. Pliny the Younger's letter to Trajan discusses the early Christians and is taken as evidence of the beliefs of the early church, which worshipped Jesus Christ as God. Combined with Judaism's fundamental monotheism a case is made that Jesus Christ was quickly given stature as divine and not simply gradually exalted over time. One has to ask, just where are these historians getting their information from if Jesus was a myth?

Even, so there are questions. Hard questions.
As important as it should be, the exact location where Jesus Christ was sentenced to death has remained a mystery for thousands of years. Many Christians place it near Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City. But, when Israeli archaeologists began to excavate the Kishle prison in Jerusalem's Old City some experts began rethinking long-held theories. Have they found the remains of Herod's palace - a Jewish monarch who ruled Jerusalem and the Holy Land two millennia ago. The conjecture is quickly drawn that this too is evidence of the Biblical account and make this description of the Bible more vivid." The theory that the trial of Jesus took place in Herod's palace is also supported by some Christian historians. It's based on the idea that Pontius Pilate, the Roman procurator who according to the Bible sentenced Jesus, lived inside the palace.

But, why are there no records of these events?

An important clue to all these questions is the chronology of the Bible. Many don’t know that the Bible (which reads as a chronology of Jesus’ life) was rearranged to give it that appearance. When rearranged in true chronologic order, it is clear that the story starts with Paul.
