Rave Racer - Classic Arcade Racing Game (Namco 1995)

Описание

Rave Racer was the successor to Ridge Racer 2, featuring the original tracks, plus 2 new tracks. The game ran on Namco's System 22 arcade hardware, and was first released to arcades in 1995.

The game greatly differed from the previous titles in the series given the game's focus on very heavy, fluid drifting, that almost felt like your car was floating.

Unlike previous versions, Rave Racer featured both first and third-person switchable viewing perspectives.

This version also featured a number of cars that could be pre-selected from the game's boot settings.

Rave Racer also had enhanced multiplayer capabilities with a system link that allowed up to 8 players to play simultaneously.

One of the game's musical tracks actually includes the original opening music from Namco's
classic 80's arcade racer "Pole Position."
