Please note: I mistakenly called Rowan Atkinson, Rowan Atkins. It is with great apology to the actor and his fans for getting his name wrong. I would have posted the whole video over had I caught it upon my review of it.

I thank all who have pointed it out and have made note of said mistake in the video. No disrespect to the actor was meant, it was just a flub that I didn't catch in time after the video went live.

The Lion King for the Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Amiga, MS-DOS (PC Version) made by Virgin Interactive, is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself. (SNES version was the one played for this review).

This will also include the dumbed down versions of this game found on the Game Boy & Game Gear as they are very similar to everything found in the full blown version found here with just less graphics and stages and elements found. But it is pointless to do another review of the minor versions as they are so similar.

There was a PAL exclusive version of the game released for the Sega Master System, Amiga and Nintendo Entertainment System that won't be covered here due to not being North American based but still are essentially the same game as the one reviewed here.

In the means of saving space the score tallies used to get to the final score are listed here instead of in the review itself. They are on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible:

Story Accuracy to the Movie 5.5
(Accurate in the fact that it goes in order of location from the movie. But not too accurate in the fact that very little story is told at any time. A lot of moments are left out too. It was accurate enough but could have been a lot better..)

Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie's 9.0
(One thing that really shines in this game is the movie soundtrack. Every major song will show up somewhere and most placed in the correct locations. Some of the versions the songs will sound better then in other versions of the game but that is expected.)

Game Difficulty 3.5
(The game is actually pretty difficult which lowers this score greatly. Being its based on a kids cartoon it should be a bit easier then it is. This game won't be easy to get through and you will need every extra guy and continue you can muster. Play control really makes things even harder. The game is far from impossible but is very frustrating at many points. )

Overall Fun 5.0
(This is a matter of opinion but I felt it missed the mark at many points. No story, very little characters from the film showed up and a lot of stages seemed like the same thing with different backgrounds. The game can be a bit repetitive too and the whole climax of the game won't make the adventure worth all the trouble..)
