Cielito Lindo is a popular traditional song of Mexico, written in 1882 by Quirino Mendoza y Cortés. Cielito is a term of endearment, similar to sweetheart. It is a lovely melody to play, and I often play it on both my ukulele and guitar as a solo piece as well as in an arrangement such as this.
In this video, I have given you both ukulele tab which is suitable for high or low G tuning, and sheet music for C instruments such as guitar, flute recorder, etc. If you play guitar and want to read the tablature, use a capo on the 5th fret and then follow the tab as written. Enjoy!
