DIY Lipstick:


Conventional lipsticks:

May containtoxic ingredients
Can cause allergies & skin damage
Are deleterious to ecosystem & environment


DIY red lipstick using shea butter, beeswax and essential oils:

1. Heat 3 cups of water in a saucepan
2. Once boiled, reduce the flame
3. Now place a glass container on the saucepan
4. This makes a double-boiler
5. Add in it 1 tsp beeswax in a glass jar
6. Add 1 tsp shea butter
7. Add 1 tsp coconut oil
8. Keep stirring, while the mixture melts
9. Once done, remove the bowl
10. Add to it a pinch of natural organic red food color
11. Add a drop of peppermint essential oil
12. Mix it well and transfer this in a storage container
13. Your lipstick is ready

Apply this with help of a lipstick brush



DIY brown lipstick using cocoa butter and coconut oil:

1. Heat 2-3 cups of water in a pot
2. Reduce the heat to simmerOnce boiled, reduce the flame

Now place a glass container on the saucepan. This makes a double-boiler

3. Add in it 1 tsp beeswax
4. Add 1 tsp cocoa butter
5. Add 1 tsp of coconut oil
6. Keep stirring, while the mixture melts
7. Once it is melted, remove the bowl from the heat
8. Add a pinch of organic cocoa powder
9. Add a pinch of cinnamon powder. You may also add a little
turmeric if you want the color to be more yellow
10. Add a drop of rose-hip essential oil
11. Mix it well and transfer this in a container
12. Your lipstick is ready

Apply this with help of a lipstick brush



Tips:

• Store the container in a cool place
• Make sure that you only fill the container to three quarters of its
capacity
