Blue Moon (1934)

This song was written in 1934 by Rogers and Hart.

This recording has three ukulele parts. It is not a careful arrangement as each part was just made up. There are no tabs, I'm afraid.

I recorded the main rhythm part first (left channel), then a second rhythm part (right channel) and finally the melody line (centre). I decided on two rhythm part because I want to get some some cross-rhythms going.

The rhythm parts were both played on an Ohana TK-35CG with Worth strings. The improvised melody part was played on an Ohana TK-75CG with D'Addario Pro Arte strings.

I have taken great liberties with the melody part and not corrected any wrong notes, but I wanted it to retain that "live" feel. It's hard to get with a multi-track recording. Unfortunately the uke on the right is a little out of sync. I don't know how that happened.
