Susan Cooper works as a CIA analyst and has spent years behind a computer screen, helping field agents survive the most dangerous operations. She is smart, observant, and understands international missions better than many operatives, but her colleagues are used to seeing her only as an unnoticed office employee. When agent Bradley Fine disappears during an assignment and the identities of active spies are exposed, Susan unexpectedly gets the chance to go into the field and track down Rayna Boyanov — a cold and capricious heiress to a criminal network connected to the sale of a nuclear device. The new mission quickly turns into a chaotic journey across Europe, where Susan must improvise, clash with the overconfident agent Rick Ford, and prove that a true spy’s strength does not always look the way people expect. Paul Feig’s action comedy combines spy intrigue, genre parody, and a vivid story about a woman who has been underestimated for far too long.
