Biology teacher and former soldier Dan Forester lives an ordinary family life until people from the future appear on Earth during a football match and announce that thirty years later humanity is losing a war against alien creatures. To save the world, governments begin sending soldiers and civilians to the year 2051, where the survivors are fighting a desperate battle against deadly beings. Dan is among those drafted and quickly realizes that the future war is connected not only to the fate of the planet, but also to his own family. Meeting scientist Muri Forester, who is working on a way to stop the threat, forces him to confront fear, guilt, and the attempt to change the future while the past can still be corrected. Chris McKay’s science fiction action film combines war drama, time travel, and the story of a father who gets a chance to fight not only for humanity, but also for those he loves.
