About page: Sonic Momentum is a fan-game aimed to inject new ideas into the existing 2D Sonic franchise and create a new, fun, and interactive way to play. This demo (although short) is meant to present these base ideas to further expand upon them in the future.

From what I've played, it does what it set out to do and it's quite an experience when you decide to master the game... but it comes with a learning curve... or should I say, unlearning curve. If you've dabbled into 2D Sonic games and fangames, chances are muscle memory will get the better of you and you'll make mistakes or wrong inputs out of force of habit. I know because it happened to me.

This is a tricky Sonic fangame to rate, because I think it's genuinely polished and fun to play... once you adjust to this games rules and physics. You'll notice throughout the playthrough how my gameplay improves once I adapt to the games rules. The initial experience is what I think will make or break Sonic Momentum to some. But give it enough time and practice and you'll find a fun 2D Sonic fangame with a lot of heart and ambition. Definitely play this one.
