Its design allows the auto to come into contention with large competitors from the C segment SUV market, which is a prominent market within the past years. It features Peugeot's new i-Cockpit, which can be an improved design when compared to current i-Cockpit featured inside the Peugeot 208, Peugeot 2008 and Peugeot 308. Features have an eight inch touchscreen display screen to the centre console, a 12.3 inch customisable manages display, along with the small style tire, that has become standard to all current Peugeot models. Production began in 2016, with sales starting in January 2017. 100,000 orders were manufactured in Europe between October 2016 and March 2017, 50 % of them were created by people who didn't own a Peugeot.
