Opeth is a Progressive Metal band from Sweden formed in 1989, and it was one of the first bands to join elements of Death Metal with Progressive music, creating a new genre that is known now as "Progressive Death Metal". Over the last decade though, Opeth left Death Metal behind and is completely focused uniquely on their Progressive Rock sound. This album is probably the best example of their new era, and also one of my favorites.

Opeth is one of the few bands that currently has no original members left on the band, with Mikael Åkerfeldt (vocalist and guitarrist) being the oldest member now, having joined them in 1990, one year after the band had started with their original formation. Over the next few years all original members left the band and new members joined Mikael, as he ended up becoming "the face of the band". I joined the two tracks using the Windows 10 video editor, and both tracks can be found separately on the band's official channel.

Opeth é uma banda de Metal Progressivo formada na Suécia em 1989, e uma das primeiras a juntar elementos de Death Metal com a música progressiva, criando o gênero conhecido como "Progressive Death Metal". Nesta última década, porém, o Opeth tem deixado o Death Metal um pouco de lado, e focando cada vez mais no lado progressivo da banda. Este álbum é um dos melhores exemplos dessa nova fase, e um dos meus favoritos.

Opeth é um dos poucos exemplos de bandas que atualmente não contam mais com nenhum dos membros originais, sendo Mikael Åkerfeldt (vocalista e guitarrista) o que está há mais tempo, tendo se juntado à equipe no ano de 1990, um ano após a formação inicial da banda. Ao longo dos anos todos os demais membros foram saindo, e novos integrantes foram entrando. Aqui, juntei o áudio de duas faixas do mesmo álbum, sendo que uma é continuação da outra. A junção foi feita por mim utilizando o editor de vídeos do Windows 10. Ambas as faixas encontram-se, separadamente, no canal oficial da banda.
