Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot (ジャイアントロボ) theme song (Byond guitar cover)

Описание

Heres my cover of the theme song from the Japanese TV show "Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot". I used to watch this show in the 70's along side "Ultraman" . This is dedicated to my friend Danny aka Blank9870

In the early early 90's, like 90 or 91, I discovered a guitar player called "Buckethead" that I fell in love with. I went from being a Steve Vai fan to a Buckethead fan overnight, though almost no one knew him. He was Ecentric like Vai but had a heavier edge to him. Actualy it was only because of Bill Laswell and John Zorn that I came to him.First I got the Praxis Transmutation release by a recomend from my buddy Colin, due to his love of Bill Lawswell, and than found out Zorn released a solo album for Bucekethead in Japan. I paid a company in Detroit to import it for me. It cost $35 even back in 1990. Double disc. Entitled "Buckethead Land". I was floored to say the least. Now its a considered a classic.

One of the things that drew me to him was that he liked alot of the same things I did, in fact he did a version of the theme song from the Johnny Sokko show. 20 years later Buckethead has released something like 53 or 54 studio albums and still going strong. And for shits and giggles, I wanted to try my hand at the song.

Next up Im working on Ultraman 66's theme song, Tak Matsumotos 'Road of Lords", Paul Gilberts arangment of Vivaldi's"4 seasons", The Walking Dead theme song, and the Christmas song "Christmas Eve"
