RAM RAM RAM RAM RAM

It is believed that Ram nam is the most powerful mantra of all the mantras. Uttering Ram name once is more worthy than uttering other mantras thousand times. It is said Ram mantra originated much earlier than the other mantras. Ram nam is the Parambrahma meaning the Supreme being, hence it is the seed mantra. It illuminates the other names of the Gods as it is the original and also the supreme. It is more superior than the ‘ÓM’ name which is also known as the seed mantra. The word Rama literally means the fire, sun, moon in Sanskrit. Ra—fire, aa --- sun and ma---moon which emits light. Hence Rama is the Supreme light of all the lights, which gives, energy and enlightenment to all its devotees, who chant the name with love, true belief, dedication, faith and simplicity.

When a person chants this mantra, he gets relief from all the sins, he gets protection from all the obstacles. By chanting this name for the whole life a person paves his way to Vaikunth the abode of Lord Vishnu the Heaven. Ram was one of the incarnation of Lord Vishnu hence by uttering Ram several times in a day, one remembers and pays obeisance to all the names of Lord Vishnu.
