Sandra – “Japan Ist Weit” (Germany Piccobello) 1984

Описание

Written by Marian Gold, Frank Mertens, Bernhard Lloyd and Michael Kunze. Produced by Michael Cretu

From the compilation album, “The Very Best Of Sandra”

Hailing from Saarbrücken on the German/French border, Sandra first found fame in the girl group, Arabaesque, who scored five German hit singles in the early 80s. Branching out as a solo artist, she opened her account with the worldwide hit, “(I’ll Never Be) Maria Magdalena” in 1985. (Surprisingly, this song didn’t register in either the US or the UK.)

Before “Maria Magdalena”, Sandra released this version of Alphaville’s #1 German hit, “Big In Japan”.
