Syndicate - Gameplay

Syndicate is an isometric Cyberpunk action/strategy game. It was made by Bullfrog and was published by EA in 1993. It came out for various platforms:

PC (DOS), Amiga 500, Amiga 600, CD³², Sega Mega Drive, Macintosh, SNES, 3DO, Atari Jaguar, Acorn Archimedes, PC-98

In Syndicate you take the role of a mighty and relentless corporation which is fighting for world domination. Ofcourse you are not the only one who wants that and there is also the law which is there to make sure the cities are safe.

You can choose to control 4 Agents who are there to do the dirty work for you. You can equip them with all sorts of weapons (pistol, uzi shotgun minigun and so on) most of them have to be researched first though.
You can also upgrade your agents with cybernetic implants and kinda make them into "terminators" or cyborg agents. Which is pretty necessary considering the difficulty of later missions and using "human agents" would mean dead on arrival.

However, mission include assasination or evacuation of specific persons, elimination of all enemy agents or purchasing specific items.

You can do the missions however you like, the only important thing is getting the goals done. There are civilians everywhere and well although they seem useless at first they can become a good ally or cannon fodder if you use the persuadertron a lot (which makes them follow and fight for you)

You can also steal cars that are standing around, and make a "drive-by", meaning that you shoot out of the car while driving. Though its pretty dangerous if all agents are in the car because when it explodes everyone inside is dead.
